• Good day Nina Harris Community,

Welcome to a great new school year at Nina Harris ESE Center. For those of you who I have not had the pleasure to meet yet, I was the Assistant Principal at Richard L. Sanders for about 5 years before moving to Nina. I have worked with the Special Education population for most of my 20+ years in education. I have dual Masters Degrees and a background in Human Resources, Educational Technology, and many of you know I was a proud member of the United States Air Force, “Aim High” for 13 years. I have two sons, one is a middle school teacher and the other works for FedExand both live in Colorado. I have one fur baby; John Wayne, a.k.a Duke. He is an Old English Bulldog.

Over the past three years, our commitment to supporting our students’ communication efforts has really paid off. We moved into the Maintaining Category for the School Improvement Rating, our highest rating in over 10 years. We would love for more families to get involved in our student social, academic and communication efforts here at school.

Our staff is the finest in the District, many have been at Nina for more than 15 years. They have completed numerous trainings to support our students and their own professional growth with evidence-based communication processes and behavior. Our classroom assistants completed 6 Modules to enhance their skills in the classroom. Our goal is to be the premier ESE center in the state. Please feel free to call upon your teacher.

We miss having our families on Campus, and we are hoping you will be joining us more this year.

We are here for our students and families. Please call us anytime and we will support your needs to the best of our abilities.

    Warm regards,
