Hello Unicorn Parents,

I’m so happy to continue serving the Mt. Vernon school community for 2024-2025 school year. When I’m at Mt. Vernon I’m dedicated to the staff and your children and when I’m at home I try to keep up with my 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. I love both!

Our focus this year is learning new and different ways to engage students. With that, you’ll see ways we are trying to engage our parents and community members as well. I’ve been in education for 32 years now and I’ve seen many changes throughout this time. The one thing that holds steady though is that parents want the best for their child and we at Mt. Vernon will continue to find the best ways to have the best teachers in front of them and provide experiences that they will hold on to through their academic careers.

Please remember that my door is always open and I encourage you to continue to introduce yourself to me when you see me on campus. Let’s have a great school year!
