• Beginning Friday, December 5th, students will receive their brand new Dell laptop leased computers!

    On the first day the students take their first FAST test on or after 12/5,

    • Students who have computers checked out must bring them with them to test – they will check them in and be able to TEST AND TAKE a new computer!
    • Students who DO NOT have computers checked out  will be able to TEST AND TAKE a new computer if and only if their “Equipment Take-Home Opt In” is signed on Focus only.

     

    To prepare for this exciting event:

    • If your student has a computer checked out, they need to bring it with them to their first testing day on or after Friday 12/5.
    • If your student does not have a computer checked out, parents or guardians will need to log into their Parent Focus Portal Account, click the green “Back to School Forms” button, and click YES on the “Equipment Take-Home Opt In” button. There are no paper forms available for this option.  This form must be signed in order for students to receive a new computer.

     

    You will receive a separate email detailing which one of the following groups of students your child falls into, and next steps for you to make sure they can TEST AND TAKE their new leased computer before winter break!

    • Students who have an old computer checked out and need to return it
    • Students who do not have a computer checked out, but their form is signed in Focus
    • Students who do not have a computer checked out, and their form is not signed in Focus

     

     

     

    Below you will find the repair process for our new leased computers.

    Repair Process:

    • Our Technology Coordinator, Mr. Dunbar, will perform basic troubleshooting and submit a ticket to the assigned Technology Technician.
    • The Technology Technician will document diagnostics and required parts, then forward the ticket to Quantum, our lease provider.
    • Your child will not receive the original device back. Instead, they will be issued a replacement from our spare inventory, and the exchange will be logged into Asset Info, our computer check-out system.
    • All PCS Connects device repairs will be handled by Quantum, our lease provider. They will collect the broken device and replenish our spare inventory accordingly.
