Hello! My name is Ms. Bendaoud, and I am delighted to be your student’s music teacher this year at M.K. Rawlings Elementary! It is an absolute joy to guide our students as they explore the world of music and grow as creative, confident performers.
In music class, students in PreK through 5th grade learn the foundations of music through singing, movement, and playing instruments such as drums, xylophones, and recorders. We explore rhythm, melody, and expression in fun and meaningful ways, helping each child discover their musical voice.
Each year, our entire school community comes together for two exciting performances where every grade level is showcased. In addition, 4th and 5th grade students have the opportunity to participate in the Rawlings Elementary Chorus, while 5th graders enjoy a special field trip to hear The Florida Orchestra in a live children’s concert experience.
Music at Rawlings is about more than just learning notes—it’s about teamwork, creativity, and building a lifelong appreciation for the arts. I look forward to sharing the joy of music with your children this year and celebrating their accomplishments on stage and in the classroom!
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have!
