Greetings!

My name is Evangelos Valsamis, and I am very pleased to be part of the Spartan Team. 

I was born in Massachusetts and my first language was Greek. I attended a Greek Orthodox Seminary located in Brookline, MA and after receiving my Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Studies, I then transitioned my career into teaching.  I earned my first Master’s Degree in Education from Simmons College in Boston, MA.  This college is located right across the street from my beloved Boston Red Sox, and I am still a big Boston sports fan… and by fan, I mean the true definition of fanatic.

When we moved to Florida in 2008, I taught math at Morgan Fitzgerald Middle school, and then went and earned my second Master’s Degree (Educational Leadership) from St. Leo University.  I became an Assistant Principal at Largo Middle School, and also have worked as an AP at Tyrone and Carwise. My wife and I have three amazing daughters who attend schools in Pinellas county. 

My goal in being an Assistant Principal for a middle school is to support teachers and help guide students through the amazing experiences of 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.
