Connect for Success
Students in grades 1-5 at John M. Sexton Elementary School can check out a Dell laptop computer for use at home by your son or daughter. Students will have free access to several online educational resources that will help them to improve their skills in many subjects including reading, language arts, math, science and social studies. This opportunity is made possible by Connect for Success — A Title I Digital Enterprise. The purpose of the program is to give students throughout the district equal access to the technology they need to be successful in school. It’s also part of a larger district plan to extend learning beyond the classroom and expand digital opportunities for all students.
In order to participate and sign out a laptop computer, you and your child will need to meet with Mrs. Bonnie Kelley, Sexton Elementary School's Library Media/Technology Specialist, to learn how to use the laptop, and to access available educational resources. You will also be asked to fill out a Computer Receipt and Responsibility Form, to ensure appropriate use of the computer and that you will return it in good condition. Please come to the Media Center on any Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday at 4:00 PM. If this time is not convenient, please contact Mrs. Kelley to schedule an appointment at (727) 570-3400 Ext. 2112 or KelleyB@pcsb.org
