Tarpon Springs Elementary students in grades K - 4 are able to check out a Dell laptop computer over the summer for use at home thanks to the Title One Digital Enterprise Connect for Success program TSES offers. The purpose of the program is to give students throughout the district equal access to the technology they need to be successful in school. Students have free access to several online educational resources that will help them to improve their skills in many subjects, including reading, language arts, math, science and social studies to prevent the summer slide.
A letter was sent home with your student this week explaining the details of this program. In order to participate you must return the letter as well as attend a mandatory training session. The training sessions are listed on the letter. We have a limited number of computers so make sure you return the letter by Friday, 5/11.
