TSLCA has been changing the lives of young people and inspiring the next generation of leaders for over two decades and we’re excited that you are thinking about joining us!
We’re looking for students in grades 9-12 who want to be part of the next generation of the creative workforce and the leaders in our community.
We’re honored to be part of the Pinellas County Magnet School System. Most of our students reside in the North Pinellas County area, but we accept students who reside anywhere in Pinellas County (subject to current school assignment and magnet program procedures).
APPLICATION PROCESS
During the district wide application period, students can apply to district choice programs based on their interests, talents, and abilities.
All students enter application programs using the online application process in the Student Reservation System found on the Pinellas County District website
By an application to any program, families and students agree to abide by the practices in that school for which they are making application (e.g. no participation in sports or the extra-curricular activities of any other Pinellas County public school).
Applications are not transferable and are effective only for the application year.
All interested applicants, including siblings and the children of full-time employees in the school, must still apply. Application and acceptance deadlines and requirements apply to all applicants. Reapplication is not necessary once a student is enrolled in a program as long as the student/family continues to meet the conditions of the school.
TSHS DISCOVERY NIGHT

Although not required by law to do so, Pinellas County Schools provides school bus transportation for magnet and career academy program students who live more than two miles from their school. In order to keep the length of the bus ride as short as practicable, students are provided arterial routing to the school. Arterial routing restricts bus operation to main roads and limits the number of stops. In some cases, the bus stop may be farther from the student’s home than an area school stop.
SCHEDULE A SHADOW DAY
The best way for your student to experience the opportunities available to them through the Conservatory Magnet Program is for them to make an appointment to “shadow” a Conservatory student for a day. This wonderful opportunity gives students a first-hand experience of the Tarpon Springs Leadership Conservatory for the Arts and the academic possibilities at Tarpon Springs High School.
We offer shadowing opportunities on Tuesdays through Thursday beginning in November of each year. Each experience begins at 8:00 am in our front office and will conclude at 1:00 pm. Parents are responsible for providing transportation to and from Tarpon Springs High School. We invite parents to accompany their students in the morning to the front office to meet with staff and students to discuss the morning’s agenda. We are here to answer any questions that you may have about the Conservatory. Parents should return to the front office at 1:00pm to pick up their student. To schedule an appointment to shadow, please contact the school.
Shadowing is a great way for your student to become familiar with the campus, the program, and the “family “of students they will be spending the next four years with. We look forward to showing your student all the things we love about the Tarpon Springs Leadership Conservatory for the Arts.
Students may select one of two tracks:
