The Office of Strategic Partnerships presents Parent-Guardian Connection (PGC), a virtual forum where parents and guardians can all connect. PGC will provide parents across Pinellas County Schools the opportunity to connect, engage, and share resources.

Magnet School of Distinction Winner
James B. Sanderlin K-8 IB World School has been honored as a School of Distinction by Magnet Schools of America. The Magnet School of Distinction Award is the second highest award of recognition.
To receive a national Merit Award, schools must submit a detailed application to Magnet Schools of America. Schools are judged and scored on their demonstrated ability to raise student academic achievement, promote racial and socioeconomic diversity, provide integrated curricula and instruction, and create strong family and community partnerships that enhance the school’s magnet theme.
All of the winning schools will be recognized at Magnet Schools of America’s 38th National Conference hosted by Clark County School District in Nevada, April 13-17, 2020.
2020 Future Cities Competition
On Saturday, January 19, 2020, Sanderlin competed in the 2020 Regional Future Cities Competition. There were 24 teams representing multiple districts from the Tampa Bay area. James B. Sanderlin IB World School WON and will be going to Nationals in Washington, DC in February. The students researched, developed a project plan, created a simulation city, wrote an essay, built a to-scale model, and presented all their information before engineers from multiple corporations and cities. Congratulations to following 7th grade students: Jonah, Charlie, Emi, Emma, and Natalie. We are so proud of you!
