    The importance of PTA

A parent’s involvement in their child’s education is crucial to academic and social/emotional success. Research shows that no matter the families income or background, students with involved parents are more likely to have higher grades, attend school regularly, have better social skills, show improved behavior, and adapt well to school.

Being involved in PTA also supports the relationship between teacher and parent. When teachers and parents work together to support learning and social/emotional needs, students have an overall better school experience.

Lastly, being involved helps support our school! PTA allows our school to connect with our local community, discover wonderful resources, and gives opportunities for engaging programs and activities that can help our school financially.

We would love for every Seminole family to join our PTA if you haven’t done so already! If you are unable to join, please consider volunteering at any of our many events throughout the year and attend our monthly spirit nights.
