    SPHS Graduation Information for Class of 2018

    May 18th at 11:00 am at Tropicana Field

     

    GRADUATE INFORMATION

    ***Changes made to Parking

    • Parking is $10.00 per car, please carpool to save money. All parking lots will open one hour prior to ceremony (10:00 am).
    • The general public and graduates can park in lots 1, 2, 4, 6 and 7.
    • Lot 3 will be for ride shares (i.e. uber, lyft, taxi etc. )
    • PLEASE NOTE that Tropicana is NOT accepting cash for most lots-you will have to have a credit card to pay for most of the lots.
    • There will only be 1 lot (limited amount of space) that will accept cash only. This will be LOT 4 (1st Avenue South and 17th Street South).
    • Lot 6A (1st Avenue South and 13th Street South) will be designated for both credit cards and cash.
    • All other lots will accept credit cards only.
    • The parking lot staff will be instructed on how to address guests that only have one means of payment.
    • Additionally---guests with disabilities who cannot walk to the opposite side from parking, should enter Gate 1. Please note, this entrance/checkpoint will be for those with disabilities ONLY and those accompanying them.
    • Please note that Tropicana does not provide any access to wheelchairs, you will need to have those with you if needed.
    • Students may invite as many guests as they want.
    • Please make sure you leave as soon as the ceremony is over.
    • Graduates will enter at Gate 6 (Employee Entrance) starting at 10:00 am.
    • Please be advised that staff and security will be checking all bags and will wand people as they enter.
    • Graduates are NOT ALLOWED to bring cell phones onto the field. If you have one, we will be collecting them on your way in and they will be kept secured during the ceremony.
    • Graduates are NOT ALLOWED to decorate their caps with any decorations (i.e. college name).

     

    GENERAL PUBLIC/GUEST INFORMATION

    • Pictures of your graduates will be taken & you will be contacted directly for purchases. You can preregister with the company at gradimages.com/preregistration
    • Guests will be allowed into the stadium at 10:15 am. Guests will enter at Gates 3 and 5.
    • Parking is $10.00 and will be available in lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7.
    • Please be advised that staff and security will be checking all bags and will wand people as they enter.
    • HANDICAP ACCESS: Guests wishing to drop-off a family member(s) who is unable to walk from the car may use the car circle in front of Gate 4 to drop off the person(s). Tropicana DOES NOT provide wheelchairs, please ensure guests will have their own wheelchairs or other ambulatory devices.
    • Strollers are NOT permitted inside the Trop. There will be a Stroller Parking Lot outside of the Trop at gates 3 and 5.
    • The Trop is asking to NOT bring in any flowers, balloons or other gifts for students. They will not see their graduates until after the ceremony, outside of the stadium so there is NO need to bring these items inside. (Balloons are not permitted inside the stadium at all).
    • Families can meet their graduates after the ceremony outside of Gate 6 (16th Street side).
    • Each graduate will be provided with one copy of the professionally videoed DVD of the Ceremony at Tropicana Field. They will be available to pick up in the front office here at school. The date they will be available will be posted on the school website as soon as we have it.

    SENIOR FEES – CLASS OF 2018

     

     

    Dear Seniors and Parents,

     

    Below you will find a breakdown of the senior dues (fees) for this school year. We currently have about 400 seniors listed as graduating, so we used that as the main number in determining individual costs. 

     

    You can pay with cash, money order or a check made out to St. Pete High. Credit cards will be accepted as well this year. Use the SPHS Webstore link below to pay online.

    Your dues cover all MANDATORY costs. These cost include, but aren’t limited to the following:

    (any items listed below are for the graduates to keep)

    • Cap, Gown and one tassel
    • Medallion to be worn at graduation
    • Diploma Cover
    • Senior Dinner
    • Commemorative Sunday and the Graduation Ceremony

                                                                                         

    TOTAL OF EXPENSES DUE PER GRADUATE IS $100.00

    If you pay on or before October  3rd  the cost is $100.00

    If you pay from October 4th to December 22nd  the cost is $110.00

    If you pay any time after the start of semester 2, the cost will go up to $120.00

    Class of 2018-End of the Year Dates

     

     

     

    April 12th- 9:00 am- Cap and Gown Distribution in Gym lobby

    • If you have paid your senior dues and do NOT have any other obligations you may come to pick up

    April 14th- 8:00 pm -12:00 am- Prom at The Coliseum

    April 20th- 4:00 pm departure- Grad Bash Universal Studios

    • If you purchased a ticket & have turned in permission slip to attend. Tickets are not being sold at this time.

    April 25th- 6:00 pm-8:00 pm- Senior Dinner-Gym

    • If you have a dinner ticket to attend-seniors only. RSVP through your English class or Mrs. Anderson

    April 27th- 9:00 am- Move Up Assembly- SPHS Auditorium

    • Seniors will wear cap and gowns

    May  6th- 3:00 pm- Commemorative Sunday- SPHS Auditorium

    • All seniors invited to attend. Will wear cap and gown. More information to go home about this later.

    May 10th- 4th period- Mandatory Senior Meeting about Graduation Details

    May 18th – 11:00 am- Graduation- Tropicana Field

    • More information/details will be mailed home
