    About our SPHS PTSA

The SPHS Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA - ptsasphs@gmail.com ) is a community of volunteers that provides support to our teachers, staff students and parents to collaborate and find ways to show our support.  The PTSA sponsors teacher holiday meals, provides gift cards for Spirit Award recipients, provides wish lists for teacher classrooms and are working to fund a college scholarship as well.  We have various fund raisers to support these efforts along with member donations. We need your help to make this a vibrant, fun community of volunteers that can really make an impact.  Any funds raised go right back to the school and the membership fee supports our school as well as providing us support from the county PTSA.

We encourage everyone to Join on line and purchase PTSA merch at https://stpetehigh.memberhub.com/store?limit=21&live=true

We encourage everyone to join ($15 for Parents and Teachers and $10 for Students) and you can get as involved as you have time for, being a member does not require any minimum time commitment or attendance of a meeting, every member counts to help us reach our goals to provide for our Green Devil Community.  The more involved our members are, the more we can accomplish but even just joining provides a benefit.

We are always looking for members to help donate their skills to help further our cause, donate time to help cover events or even donate gift cards and monetary donations to support our events.  It is a great way to help set the direction and see first-hand all the great things this group can accomplish. Please email us at ptsasphs@gmail.com  if you are interested in getting involved or if you have any questions.

Our goal is to have a diverse group of members that can help represent the interests of each of the communities the PTSA serves, parents, teachers and students are all encouraged to join, we look forward to having you on board!

The PTSA supports our SPHS Spirit Recognition Program (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports)

St. Petersburg High School has been known as the high school with the most spirit since 1898.  Our school spirit recognition program celebrates the students of St. Petersburg High School for their contributions to our school culture in the areas of scholarship, pride, honor, and service (S.P.H.S.).  All staff members have the opportunity to recognize students who demonstrate school spirit in the following areas throughout the school year:

    • Highest Academic Achievement
    • Improved Academic Achievement
    • Improved/Excellent Attendance
    • School Spirit
    • Excellent Conduct
    • Being a Conflict Resolver/Problem Solver
    • Reporting Safety Concerns
    • Leadership
    • Citizenship

Upon recognition, students receive a spirit award, a St. Pete High t-shirt, an invitation to quarterly social events, and a chance to win a $10 gift card!  Our students’ contributions to our positive school climate and Green Devil spirit are valued and continue our tradition of excellence since 1898!
