Weekly Message for the week of 11-18-24
Good evening, Green Devil Families!
Here is your November 18th weekly update for school events and information:
*Please save the date for our newly announced GRADUATION ceremony for the Class of 2025, Thursday, May 29th= 7:30PM at the BayCare Sound in Clearwater. This is a new venue for us so, please stay tuned for more information.
*PCS is offering a FALL Challenge for all students enrolled in Algebra 1, Geometry, Biology, US History and Reading to help support student academic success. Students will be able to access these challenges through CLEVER. Challenges open on November 18th and run through December 6th.
* Please mark your calendars and join us for this year’s fall production of "The Merry Wives of Windsor" by William Shakespeare. The lesser-known comedy of Shakespeare spreads laughter will teaching a lesson of virtue, honesty, forgiveness and acceptance. The story surrounds an aging knight who schemes to swindle others while compromising the virtue of others. As always Shakespeare delivers a cast of stock characters, slapstick and age-old tale of rebellion and love. Please join us November 21 Thursday and 22nd Friday at 6:30pm and November 23rd Saturday for our matinee at 11:30 am. Tickets go on sale November 13th on gofan.co.
*Senior families, please make sure you are part of a remind group if I you are not already receiving the information updates via text. You can also check out the senior class webpage via the SPHS Website at https://www.pcsb.org/domain/5079 . If you haven’t paid your Senior Dues, you can do so on that webpage as well.
*Our campus is open from 6:30AM-2:30PM each day. No student should be dropped off before 6:30AM and all students (unless they are in a school sponsored event and with an adult sponsor) should be OFF campus no later than 2:30PM.
Our office hours are 7:00AM to 3:00PM. If you need to sign your child out early from school, please make sure to do so prior to 1:30 PM. NO PTLs will be permitted after 1:30, students cannot be released during the last 25 minutes of the day.
Additional notes for this week:
*We will have St. Petersburg College Representatives at our school on Thursday, November 21 from 9AM to 11AM to help seniors apply to SPC. The $40 application fee will be waived for students who apply at this event. Students will have the opportunity to get individual help applying for admission on this day. To complete the application, the student will need access to the following:
-Student Social Security number
-ID numbers for 2 of the following from the parent or legal guardian:
- Florida Driver’s License or Florida ID
- Florida Vehicle Registration
- Florida Voter’s Registration and issue date

*Yearbooks are now on sale at www.yearbooksforever.com . Current price is $80 but, will be going up in price on November 28th so buy yours soon. And speaking of yearbooks, senior tributes are available at www.yearbookforever.com for anyone who is interested.

*The next PTSA meeting will be held in January.

*All students are eligible for FREE breakfast and FREE lunch each and every day. We do still encourage all families to fill out the free/reduced lunch application if you think you are eligible as this will qualify you for free testing waivers and additional scholarship opportunities. Please fill out the free and reduced lunch form at: www.myschoolapps.com
