Weekly Message for the Week of 1-06-25

Good evening, Green Devil Families!

Here is your January 6th weekly update for school events and information:

*Happy New Year!  We look forward to seeing everyone back at school bright and early tomorrow morning and hope that all of our students and their families had an amazing and relaxing Winter Break.  When students report to campus tomorrow morning they should be reporting directly to their 1st period class.  (IB students should report to their 1/2 A-day class).  Students should log into FOCUS today and make sure to view their 2nd semester classes as some schedules have changed.

*Report cards for Quarter 2/1st Semester will be able in Focus on January 16th.

*Please save the date for our GRADUATION ceremony for the Class of 2025, Thursday, May 29th= 7:30PM at the BayCare Sound in Clearwater.  This is a new venue for us so, please stay tuned for more information.

*Senior families, please make sure you are part of a remind group if I you are not already receiving the information updates via text.  You can also check out the senior class webpage via the SPHS Website at https://www.pcsb.org/domain/5079 .  If you haven’t paid your Senior Dues, you can do so on that webpage as well. 

*Our campus is open from 6:30AM-2:30PM each day.  No student should be dropped off before 6:30AM and all students (unless they are in a school sponsored event and with an adult sponsor) should be OFF campus no later than 2:30PM.

Our office hours are 7:00AM to 3:00PM.  If you need to sign your child out early from school, please make sure to do so prior to 1:30 PM.  NO PTLs will be permitted after 1:30, students cannot be released during the last 25 minutes of the day.

Additional notes for this week:

*Save the Date for our Annual Lip Sync Competition GOLD FEVER, it will take place on January 24th in our SPHS Auditorium.  Tickets will go on sale when we return from the holiday break.

 

*St. Pete High School Baseball team has Arm Care and Conditioning from Monday, January 6th through Friday, January 10th.  Baseball team tryouts are January 13th and 14th.  All baseball events start at 2:30PM at Huggins-Stengel Field.   Please reach out to Coach Julian if you have any questions.

 

*Seniors- the deadline for senior portraits has been extended to January 31st.  You must be photographed by Cady Studios to appear in the yearbook and to have a senior quote.  Please go to Cady.com to book your session.

 

*Senior parents, reserve your senior tribute now!  You only have until the end of February to purchase your page at yearbookforever.com.

 

*Yearbooks are still on pre-sale at www.yearbooksforever.com .  Deadline to purchase a yearbook is February 28th.

* Join the SPHS PTSA today!  $15 for parents and $5 for students, become a member and help support our school, teachers and students. https://stpetehigh.givebacks.com/store?limit=21&live=true

* In time for FALL, our PTSA now has SPHS Hoodies available ($25) and SPHS Koozies ($3.50) at https://stpetehigh.givebacks.com/store?limit=21&live=true

*The next PTSA meeting will be held in January.

*All students are eligible for FREE breakfast and FREE lunch each and every day.  We do still encourage all families to fill out the free/reduced lunch application if you think you are eligible as this will qualify you for free testing waivers and additional scholarship opportunities.  Please fill out the free and reduced lunch form at:  www.myschoolapps.com
