Weekly Message for the Week of 1-20-25
Good evening, Green Devil Families!
Here is your January 20th weekly update for school events and information:
*Just a reminder that there is NO school tomorrow, Monday, January 20th in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
*Tickets for GOLD FEVER are now on sale through the GoFAN app. NO tickets will be sold at the door so don’t be left out in the cold for one of the hottest shows this year, Goldfever Style Standoff! Tickets are $12 so get yours today! Gold Fever is our annual lip Sync Competition and will take place this Friday, January 24th in our SPHS Auditorium at 7PM.
*Just a heads up for parents, Administrators and School Counselors will be starting to meet with rising 9th, 10th and 11th graders to discuss course request options for the 2025-2026 school year in the next few weeks. This will be ongoing throughout the month of January and into early February.
*Senior Parents please mark your calendar for a FAFSP information night that we will be hosting here at SPHS on January 27th at 5:30PM in our Media Center. WE will have representatives from St. Pete College and USF here to help with the FAFSA application.
*Please save the date for our GRADUATION ceremony for the Class of 2025, Thursday, May 29th @7:30PM at the BayCare Sound in Clearwater. This is a new venue for us so, please stay tuned for more information.
*Senior families, please make sure you are part of a remind group if I you are not already receiving the information updates via text. You can also check out the senior class webpage via the SPHS Website at https://www.pcsb.org/domain/5079 . If you haven’t paid your Senior Dues, you can do so on that webpage as well.
*Our campus is open from 6:30AM-2:30PM each day. No student should be dropped off before 6:30AM and all students (unless they are in a school sponsored event and with an adult sponsor) should be OFF campus no later than 2:30PM.
Our office hours are 7:00AM to 3:00PM. If you need to sign your child out early from school, please make sure to do so prior to 1:30 PM. NO PTLs will be permitted after 1:30, students cannot be released during the last 25 minutes of the day.
Additional notes for this week:
*SPHS Football Cheer is currently selling Papa John’s Discount Cards for just $15. Once you purchase, you have the entire year for 50% off your entire order. If interested in purchasing one, send your student to 01-124 or see any football cheerleader with $15 cash or check (made out to SPHS Cheer Boosters). If you ever get take out/delivery pizza, you can’t beat this deal! Don’t miss out—sales end on 1/21. You can reach out to Andrea Anderson (andersonand@pcsb.org) with any questions.
*Flag Football Tryouts will take place on January 27th from 2:30-3:30 on the football field. All young ladies who are interested should make sure to have all athletic paperwork submitted prior to the tryouts to be eligible.
*Seniors- the deadline for senior portraits has been extended to January 31st. You must be photographed by Cady Studios to appear in the yearbook and to have a senior quote. Please go to Cady.com to book your session.
*Senior parents, reserve your senior tribute now! You only have until the end of February to purchase your page at yearbookforever.com.
*Yearbooks are still on pre-sale at www.yearbooksforever.com . Deadline to purchase a yearbook is February 28th.

*The next PTSA meeting will be held on January 23rd at 6PM in the Cafeteria.

*All students are eligible for FREE breakfast and FREE lunch each and every day. We do still encourage all families to fill out the free/reduced lunch application if you think you are eligible as this will qualify you for free testing waivers and additional scholarship opportunities.
