  • PTSA Mission
    The mission of the PTSA is threefold:

    1. to support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children

    2. to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise, protect and prepare their children

    3. to encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this state

    Programs
    SHMS PTSA 2019-2020 programs include an Leading Edge fundraiser and supporting fundraisers throughout the year that provide for Pizza Patrol & Ice Cream Parties, Honor Roll & Principal List Recognition, Science Lab Support, 8th Grade Celebration, Fall and Spring Dances, Staff & Volunteer Appreciation Events, Successful Seahawk Breakfasts, Club Trophies and Awards and more.

    Meetings

     
    The SHMS PTSA board meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month at 4:30-5:30pm in the teacher workroom behind the school front desk. General meetings are announced and scheduled throughout the year. Parents are encouraged to attend all PTSA General Meetings. We are always looking for new parents to join as 8th Grade parents move on to the high school PTSA with their children.  All general PTSA meetings are held in the library or cafeteria.
