Mrs. Kim Brown
Assistant Principal for Curriculum
6th Grade Assistant Principal
My name is Kim Brown, and I am honored to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal for Curriculum at Meadowlawn Middle School.
Before joining the Lancer family, I served as the Assistant Principal for Curriculum for three years at Richard L. Sanders School. I began my educational career in Pinellas County Public Schools in 2012 as a teacher at Maximo Elementary School. After seven years in the classroom, I transitioned to an Administrative Dean position in Manatee County, where I served for four years before returning to Pinellas County as an Assistant Principal.
I was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Criminal Justice from Florida International University. In 2010, my family and I relocated to St. Petersburg, where I continued my education at the University of South Florida, earning two additional master’s degrees—one in Elementary Education and another in Educational Leadership.
Outside of school, I’m a proud wife and mother of two vibrant and active teenagers. You’ll often find me cheering on my kids at football games or cheer/gymnastics activities. I also enjoy reading, traveling, shopping, and most importantly, spending quality time with my family.
I’m truly excited to be part of the Lancer family and look forward to the incredible moments we will share together this school year!
Warm regards,
Mrs. Kim Brown
