Our annual State Assessment testing window started on Monday 4/10. This week our 7th grade students will be completing their reading and math FSA tests. We continue to ask you to refrain from setting appointments that would take your child out of school during this period. Our goal is to test all students on their scheduled days and complete the entire testing process as efficiently as possible. Please remind your child that having any electronic devise on their person in a testing location will require that their test be disqualified. Your assistance in having your child in school every school day, rested and cooperative is essential to a successful testing season.

Please note that the last progress report grades will be sent home on 4/21. Remind your child that a failing grade in one of the four core academic classes will require attendance in Summer Credit recovery and possible retention. I will caution all 8th grade families. Failing one core academic course for the school year will require that the 8th grade student remain in middle school for the 17/18 school year and repeat the entire year. An excellent grade this quarter may be enough to avoid this outcome.
