Principal's Welcome Letter

  • Parents and Guardians of our Skyview Eagle Students,

Welcome to our 2019-2020 school year on behalf of our Eagle Team Staff. We have an amazing Eagle Team Staff of 83 men and women prepared and ready for your child to have the BEST elementary education we can provide.

School hours are 8:45-2:55pm this year. We do have R’Club services for parents/guardians who need before or after child care. Please inquire at the front office if these services are needed. Gates open at 8:00am and breakfast is from 8:00-8:25am daily with the Eagle Breakfast Café door closing at 8:30am. Please don’t drop off your child at the car circle before 8:00am because there is no staff person on duty. Our Eagle students are invited into their classes at 8:25am to begin their day with fun math number routines or math word problems.

Dismissal is at 2:55pm. Students are dismissed at Pre-K/ Kindergarten Car Circle on 60th Street, R’Club, Bus Circle for students riding buses home or to other after school child care programs, or at the 1st-5th grade Car Circle on 80th Ave. Kindergarten students who have older siblings are brought to the Car Circle on 80th Ave. Please be patient with us as we learn your names and cars…we will have a wonderful car circle process if we practice patience and kindness! 😊

Please no early dismissals from 2:30pm and on. If a student is dismissed early from school two times, it’s recorded as one tardy. Our Eagles work hard for 100% attendance so please make doctor and other appointments after school hours.

School breakfast and lunch are free. They are prepared by our Eagle Café Team and are nutritious and delicious. Your child may not bring large sacks of chips, soda or candy to school.

Beginning Friday, August 23rd will be Pizza for Parents’ Day. You may join your child during their lunch for a slice of pizza for $2.50 or a pizza meal including a drink for $3.50.  We also are pleased to announce that you may bring a sack to fill up with gently-used books for your child to read at home on Fridays when coming for pizza. Please bring your Driver’s License or State ID to obtain an Identification Pass to enter our campus.

Our Skyview Eagle Team Staff believes that learning to read, understanding what you read and enjoying reading is the key to becoming educated. At Skyview every Eagle student has homework: to read 30 minutes or more every day. Please join our Eagle Team as we ensure your child learns to read and becomes a reader for life!

If you have any questions or concerns please contact your child’s teacher or call 727-547-7857 and an Eagle Team Staff member will assist you.

Eagles on our journey of parenting and teaching for the education of your child

    Love wins,

    Suzanne Hester
