Volunteer Registration

Are you Registered as a Volunteer?

Parents if you are coming to volunteer for your child’s class party please remember that you MUST be a registered volunteer. You cannot turn in your paper work that day. It must be turned in at least 15 days prior to the party. You will not be allowed access to the classroom without being a registered volunteer.

Parents, if you are coming to volunteer in your child’s classroom you must be a registered volunteer. No visitors are allowed in the classroom. If you have a grandparent or family member coming to visit and they are going to stay with you while you volunteer they ARE NOT allowed in the classroom. All volunteers must be registered before they are allowed in the classroom.

Level 1 volunteer has completed the preliminary background check. You are permitted to be around students with a registered level 2 volunteer or a school staff member. To complete the background check to be considered a level 1 volunteer, please visit this site: Level 1 registration. You will need your driver's license. Please note that showing your driver's license to office staff does not make you a level 1 volunteer. You must complete the paperwork online.

*Level 2 volunteer is a fingerprinted volunteer that is usually going on a field trip or is any other unsupervised position.  If you need to be fingerprinted for an upcoming field trip or event at school please check with your teacher or Joyce Brown for more information. After your fingerprints are approved you will be provided information on where to get your badge made. This clearance is good in any Pinellas county school and is good for 5 years.

Please remember that these rules are in place to protect your child. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Joyce Brown at brownjoyce@pcsb.org
