Dress Code and Electronic Device Policy

  • 2025-2026 Student Dress Code

    Updates:

    Outerwear (sweatshirts / sweaters / jackets / coats):  Must be worn as intended. Outerwear with a hood attached is NOT permitted on campus and scholars must wear dress code compliant garments under ALL outwear. Wearing non-dress code compliant items under outerwear is considered an out-of-dress code offense.

    Bottoms:  All bottoms (pants, capris, shorts or skirts) must be solid chino-style black, khaki/tan, or navy without rips, tears, holes or frays of any kind.  Bottoms must be worn at the waist (as per state statute), free of any wording, embroidery, or designs.  Excessively tight bottoms are NOT permitted.  Shorts and skirts will be no less than two inches above the knee.  Athletic, nylon, knit type shorts/pants are NOT permitted, except for gym class.  Jeans are NOT permitted.

    Physical Education:  Athletic, nylon or knit-type shorts/pants are permitted in gym class ONLY.  Shorts must be midthigh to knee-length.  Appropriate footwear (tennis/athletic/sneakers) is required. 

    Non-Permitted Items:  Tights, jeggings, leggings, spandex, pajamas, sweatpants, yoga pants, midriff tops, bathrobes, blankets, hats, full headwraps, bandanas.
