School News ...you can use
Dear HLE Family,
Please remember that all visitors must have a photo ID and visit the front office before entering the campus. Even those of you who volunteer often must visit the front office and follow the proper sign in and sign out procedures. No one is exempt from abiding by our procedures. All visitors must wear proper identification while on campus whether that be a visitor badge or volunteer badge. Staff have been directed to stop any visitor not following these procedures and direct them to the front office. Please keep in mind you must be an approved volunteer to participate in any activities.
Remember every day is a learning day at HLE.
We are grateful for the partnership that we share with you, our HLE family.

Nutrition standards in school
Proposed rule for nutrition standards in schools.
The USDA Food & Nutrition Service Child Nutrition Division has devised a proposed rule on nutrition standards for foods sold in schools, which could substantially change our current practice. Art Dunham, Director of Food Services, has asked that you review the attached PowerPoint presentation, which explains the rule, and share it with your staff and families. The USDA is asking for comments on the proposed rule from school districts, principals, teachers and parents from now through April 9. If you or a member of your school community would like to speak to this proposed rule, please submit comments to Mr. Dunham at email@example.com.
