Dress Code

Students Should Wear:
- Solid Khaki or navy uniform shorts or pants with fastener, zipper, and pockets. They must be fitted and worn at the waistline, length no higher than 3 inches above the knee for shorts
- Solid Khaki or navy uniform skirts, skorts, or jumpers and any solid color polo dress, worn no higher than 3 inches above the knee
- Solid color leggings (no designs) may be worn under uniform shorts, skirts, dresses, or skorts and must have no holes or tears
- Short or long-sleeved Curtis Fundamental school shirt or any solid color (no designs on front or back) polo or collared shirt (may have a logo no larger than 2 inches in diameter)
- Solid blue jeans (no patterns/designs, holes, rips, or patches)
- Athletic shoes with rubber soles with socks are to be worn daily. Shoes appropriate for physical activity with a closed toe and heel and rubber sole
- Any color/pattern jacket (appropriate for school), sweater or sweatshirt may be worn (when appropriate due to weather conditions) that can be taken off if asked to be removed
- Hair in a neat and non-distracting manner without colored dyes
Students May Not Wear:
- Sweatpants or shorts made of sweatpants material, cargo or carpenter shorts/pants, denim shorts, overalls, colored jeans
- Sleeveless shirts, tank tops, cap sleeves, spaghetti straps, see-through shirts, halter tops, or mid-drift tops
- Clothing with holes, rips, frays, patches, or tears
- Athletic wear i.e. gym shorts, yoga pants, basketball shorts, track shorts, shorts or pants with any logos or drawstrings.
- Leggings and jeggings without shorts, skirts, or dresses, even if sold in the uniform section
- High heels, backless shoes, slippers, clogs, shoes with wheels, dress shoes, sandals, boots, spikes, cleats, flip flops or Crocs (students have recess every day and P.E. three days a week. These shoes are not safe for physical activity)
- Hair coloring or non-natural colored hair extensions
- Hats and sunglasses indoors. Bandannas or hoodies up while on campus. Distracting headbands such as cat ears, unicorn horn, pom poms, or any other embellishments that extend above the head.
Any request for uniform accommodation due to special needs or circumstances must be addressed to the principal for approval.
