How to pick out a competition:
It can be hard to decide which competition you want to do this year. To help you out, visit our Osceola FBLA website, where you will find a PowerPoint that can help you decide. You can also find on the website links to all the competitions and their descriptions/grading rubrics and examples. Also, the officers & advisors are here to help, ask any one of us and we can coach you through all the choices to help you pick the best competition for you!
District Competition
District competition allows you to compete against others in Pinellas County in order to go to the State Leadership Conference! The top seven in some events, top three in others, will be eligible to represent Osceola FBLA at SLC in Orlando!
- Dates: TBD
- Cost: $0 for registration, you’ll need money for lunch
- Location: St Pete College Seminole Campus
State Leadership Conference – State Competition
- Dates: March 28-31
- Location: Hilton Orlando
- More info to come closer to states.
- To qualify to go to states, you must place at Districts or be chosen as a member at large or voting delegate (must submit a point sheet to be considered for member at large or voting delegate)
National Leadership Conference & Competition
- Dates: June 28-July 3rd
- Location: Anaheim California
- More info to come later
- To qualify, you must place in the top 4 at states.
Cost for STATES & NATIONALS
As of right now the cost is unknown for States & Nationals. Typically, States is about $200 and nationals can be as much as $1000. This would include all transportation, registration, hotel. It would not include meals. There will be ample opportunity for fundraising for both states and nationals. Fundraising in the past has included – World’s Finest Chocolate, Krispy Kreme, and our Annual Golf Tournament.
