Mr. Robert Ferguson
Hello there! My name is Rob Ferguson and I’m delighted to be teaching 2nd grade at Tarpon Springs Fundamental Elementary School. I graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in English, minor in education. I now have my ESOL, Civics, and Reading Endorsements, as well as a Gifted Micro-Credential. This will be my 7th year teaching with Pinellas County Schools, and my 4th year teaching at TSFES.
I am a Florida native—born and raised in St. Petersburg. I’m a proud father of two fabulous children (soon to be a third): a 7-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter. I love spending time with my wife and children, being outdoors, staying active, working with computers, trying new things, watching movies, and gardening. We have a dog named Daxter and 4 hens. Finally... Let’s go Bucs!
I am passionate about working with kids and leading them discover new things about the world around them. I’m eager to collaborate with parents and families as we embark on this exciting new school year. It is my mission to help enrich all students to become self-reliant, confident, effective communicators, critical thinkers, and problem solvers to best prepare them for 3rd grade and beyond!

Mrs. Emily Wright
Hi! I’m Emily Wright, and I am thrilled to be teaching 5th grade ELA this year at Tarpon Fundamental! This will be my fourth year teaching in Pinellas County. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida with an endorsement in Reading and ESOL. I plan to obtain my Gifted Endorsement in the next couple years as well.
My husband and I currently live in Clearwater with our son and German Shephard, Zeke. We are big football fans, and love to be outside when it’s not sweltering! I spend most of my time either reading a new book, spending hours in the kitchen making something new, or outside chasing my three year old!
I have wanted to be a teacher every since I left the second grade, so this is my dream job! I truly believe in giving students an environment where they feel loved, heard, and safe. My hope is to give my students the confidence, and tools they need to be successful.
