Ms. Imani Boyce

Hello, my name is Imani Boyce and I am thrilled to teaching second grade at Tarpon Springs Fundamental! This is my third year in second grade and fifth year with Pinellas County.  I graduated from St. Petersburg College where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I am ESOL, Reading, and Micro-Gifted endorsed. My goal as a teacher is to provide a safe and nurturing space for students to thrive into lifelong learners and responsible citizens.

When I am outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time by the beautiful Florida coast, hiking with my frenchie Winston, traveling, baking, and spending time with friends and family.

Mrs. Carley Jones

Hello! My name is Carley Jones and this will be my seventh-year teaching at Tarpon Springs Fundamental! I am so excited to be teaching 2nd grade again this year! I am a graduate from St. Petersburg College where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an ESOL and Reading Endorsement.  I am also a graduate from the University of West Florida where I earned my Associates of Arts degree. I am originally from Long Island, New York, but moved to Florida when I was a freshman in high school.  I attended East Lake High School in the Academy of Engineering.  I am proud to be a product of Pinellas County Schools. My husband and I bought our first house in the East Lake area and we share it with our big dog Ollie the Collie, and Siamese cat Oscar. I love my family, friends, teaching, home decor, fashion, the New York Giants, Tampa Bay Lightning, and of course the beach! I enjoy reading a good book, home décor, and traveling all around the world! I am looking forward to another phenomenal year at TSFES!

As a teacher, I believe that all my students have the ability to learn, to be creative, and to be independent thinkers.  I want my students to succeed in all content areas and to have fun while they are learning.  I love watching my students develop and grow academically and socially.  In my classroom, I see unlimited possibilities and look forward to teaching second grade again!

Mrs. Lexa Shontz

My name is Lexa Shontz, and I am excited to be teaching second grade at Tarpon Fundamental this year. After my first career in marketing and communications, I discovered my true passion for education when I became a parent volunteer at Tarpon Fundamental years ago. I have taught 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades and was an ESE Associate prior to becoming a teacher. My goal is to foster an engaging learning environment and build a caring classroom community in which children feel safe, challenged, and nurtured to grow to their full potential.

I live with my husband in my hometown of Tarpon Springs and have three grown children, all of whom received an excellent educational foundation right here at Tarpon Fundamental. I'm an avid reader and walker (though not at the same time, of course! 🙂) and I never get tired of watching a sunset at the beach!
