Ms. Donna Quinn
Hello, my name is Donna Quinn and I am very excited to be teaching 3rd grade at Tarpon Springs Fundamental Elementary School. I attended the University of Minnesota and earned my Master's Degree in Special Education. I also attended the University of South Florida and earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I have taught at the Elementary, Middle and High school levels. I have been fortunate enough to have been an educator in Florida, Minnesota, Texas, and Tennessee. I have over 22 years of experience as a teacher. Tarpon Springs Fundamental has been my home for the past 15 years. It has been a blessing to have had so many different teaching experiences in my life. I believe every child should be given the opportunity to discover and learn in a safe, nurturing, meaningful, and enriched environment. I love teaching! I hope to empower my students with confidence to set and attain their goals. Every year I am thankful that I meet so many wonderful children and families. TSFES truly is an amazing place to be a part of! I look forward to meeting all of my new students and families this 2024-25 school year.
On a personal note, I am grateful to be the mom of two wonderful young men. They are both graduates of TSFES and CFMS. My eldest son, Dominic graduated from UCF this 2023-24 school year. Rocco, my youngest son is attending USF and studying business. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy being outdoors, exercising, and reading. In addition to teaching, I am a realtor and love helping others with their real estate needs.

Mrs. Lexa Shontz
My name is Lexa Shontz, and I am excited to be teaching third grade at Tarpon Fundamental this year. After my first career in marketing and communications, I discovered my true passion for education when I became a parent volunteer at Tarpon Fundamental years ago. I have taught 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades and was an ESE Associate prior to becoming a teacher. My goal is to foster an engaging learning environment and build a caring classroom community in which children feel safe, challenged, and nurtured to grow to their full potential.
I live with my husband in my hometown of Tarpon Springs and have three grown children, all of whom received an excellent educational foundation right here at Tarpon Fundamental. I'm an avid reader and walker (though not at the same time, of course! 🙂) and I never get tired of watching a sunset at the beach!
