Volunteer Opportunities
-
I am looking forward to connecting with you our awesome volunteers who put so much time and effort into making DHMS a great school for our students.
There are many opportunities to volunteer throughout the school year to help improve our learning environment and student achievement. You can offer support as a volunteer through various activities such as mentoring, tutoring, music, art, sporting events, Boosters clubs, PTSA/SAC, classroom assistants, transporting students, field trip chaperones, Clubs, Sponsors for organizations or programs such as 5000 Role Models, office clerical help and much more. If you are interested in getting involved in any of the activities listed or want to help in other ways, please contact me and I will be happy to help assist you in getting started.
Please remember that ALL volunteers are required to be ACTIVE, REGISTERED volunteers before performing any volunteer duties on or off campus. If you will be on campus during school hours, you will need to sign in at the front office. Volunteers on campus MUST have a volunteer badge or visitor name tag with them at all times.
Please remember to log your volunteer hours. You can log your hours by going to https://focus.pcsb.org/volunteer.
If you need assistance with your username and password, please email me.

Volunteers are always needed to assist in the school clothes closet with sorting, hanging and organizing clothes. Parents/guardians can make a difference by volunteering in the clothes closet for as little as an hour a week. Clothes closet volunteers may be Level One or Level Two. Contact Mrs. Timmons directly for more information about volunteering in the School Clothes Closet. timmonsje@pcsb.org
The Clothes Closet always needs donations of gently used jackets, accessories, backpacks, unopened/new hygiene items, and dress code clothing items. We accept sizes from children's 12- XXL adult.
