    Perkins Magnet Endowment, Inc

The Perkins Magnet Endowment (PME) is a non-profit organization established in 1995 to enrich the arts experience of students and teachers at Perkins Elementary Magnet School, Center for the Arts and International Studies.

With oversight from principal Laura Kranzel and assistant principal Daniel Lennox, and a volunteer board of parents and teachers, PME receives donations and holds fundraisers to support the art, dance, drama, Spanish and multiple music programs at Perkins. PME funds art-related field trips, supplies and equipment, supports professional development, hosts professional performances and muralists, and so much more.

Volunteering for PME means helping to make our events a success, such as the Chili-cook-off at the PTA Fall Festival, providing treats for Celebramos, participating in Barnes and Noble night, welcoming guests to the end of year dance, drama, and chorus performances, and various jobs for our amazing Outback Night.

Board positions are routinely available as our students move on to Middle School. Please consider the role of President, President-Elect, Treasurer, Treasurer-Elect, or general board positions, even if you are new to the Perkins Family.  Well defined roles and easy to navigate instructions are available, and current board members would love to explain the expected commitments. Any amount of your time and dedication is appreciated and will be rewarded by seeing your kids flourish in their arts education.

We would especially love to have you join us for our PME meetings once a month, currently held the first Tuesday of the month in the band room at 8:25 am. Please email PME at perkinsmagnetpme@gmail.com for more information!

If you would like to make a tax deductible donation to the PME, we welcome and appreciate your support:
