The STEAM Academy at Dunedin Highland Middle School will provide an interdisciplinary learning environment, empowering each individual to become life-long learners who value community, the arts, and technology through effective communication, collaboration, critical and creative thinking skills. The core curriculum incorporates styles and teachings of art, dance, music, drama, and motion into the grade level, content area objectives of the Florida Standards to enhance the learning of all students in the program.  Representing a diverse student body, students will be empowered to succeed in a competitive global economy and work to reach their highest potential. The incorporation of cooperative activities, assemblies, field trips, clubs, and grade level anchor units tied to service learning and field work will prepare students in the STEAM Academy for their future endeavors including individualized high school paths and areas of interest.
