Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Mrs. Green. I am thrilled to be a first grade teacher here at Curtis Fundamental Elementary!
I was born in Virginia and moved to Florida with my parents when I was two years old. I’ve lived in Clearwater and have been a product of Pinellas County Schools. I went to Plumb Elementary, Oak Grove Middle, and Clearwater High. After graduating High School I attended the University of South Florida. I graduated from USF in 1984 with a bachelor degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education (K-6). Then went back to work on my Masters. I continue to attend numerous workshops and classes to stay at the top of my profession.
I have taught Kindergarten for twenty years and moved up to First Grade in 1999. Every year has been wonderful and memorable. I absolutely love my job and look forward to it each and every day! I truly believe every student deserves a great education with a teacher who cares about them and has their best interest at heart.
I have been happily married for many years to my husband Jeff. We have one son, Tyler. He is a graduate of FSU and Columbia University.
My Favorite things to do, when I am not teaching are; spending time with my family and friends, reading, exercising, watching movies, shopping, eating out, boating, and sitting on the beach.
This past summer I had lots of fun going fishing with my husband, reading a lot of books on the beach, and shopping until I dropped.
