Mrs. Green

Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Green

My name is Mrs. Green. I am thrilled to be a first grade teacher here at Curtis Fundamental Elementary!

I was born in Virginia and moved to Florida with my parents when I was two years old. I’ve lived in Clearwater and have been a product of Pinellas County Schools. I went to Plumb Elementary, Oak Grove Middle, and Clearwater High. After graduating High School I attended the University of South Florida. I graduated from USF in 1984 with a bachelor degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education (K-6). Then went back to work on my Masters. I continue to attend numerous workshops and classes to stay at the top of my profession.

I have taught Kindergarten for twenty years and moved up to First Grade in 1999. Every year has been wonderful and memorable. I absolutely love my job and look forward to it each and every day! I truly believe every student deserves a great education with a teacher who cares about them and has their best interest at heart.

I have been happily married for 30 years to my husband Jeff. We have one son, Tyler. He has graduated from FSU with two separate degrees and two minors. He is now at Columbia University working toward his masters in writing.

My Favorite things to do, when I am not teaching are; spending time with my family and friends, reading, exercising, watching movies, playing the Wii, shopping, eating out, boating, and sitting on the beach.

This past summer I had lots of fun going fishing with my husband, reading a lot of books on the beach, and shopping until I dropped.
