We want to thank our teachers, parents and staff for going above and beyond to ensure that every student is supported in our new learning environments.  While we have faced some challenges, no one is more devoted to the future of our students than you. Thank you!

In that same spirit, we are asking for your help.

As financial situations may have changed for some people, please note the messages we send are ZERO PRESSURE! They simply invite your friends and family to be a part of our efforts. We want to make sure our students have the best year possible, but budget cuts and costs to keep our new learning models afloat have left our school with less resources. Some of the most celebrated student-centered programs will be at risk if we don’t come together, as a community, during this fundraising effort.

We need your help to raise money for:

1. Hoot Loot Store
2. Student Incentives for Positive Behavior
3. Classroom Support

Please know that a donation, no matter how large or small, puts us one step closer to our goal. And while we realize that some friends and family might be donating a little less this year, that’s ok…because EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS!

Cell Phone Policy

There has been questions about our cell phone policy here at Southern Oak. We follow the district policy on cell phone use.

School Board Policy states students may possess a cell phone provided this item is powered off and concealed from view while school is in session.

Any student who fails to abide by the terms of this policy forfeits any right or privilege to possess any electronic device describe in policy.

 (p. 42 in  2018-2019 Code of Student Conduct)

 - Remember, the handicapped spaces both in front of the school and by R’club are for permitted vehicles only. There has been a problem with the spaces by R’club being used by non permitted cars. Our families who need those spaces appreciate your attention to this.
