Mr. Higgins received his AA in General Studies from St. Petersburg College.  A Bachelors in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College and a Bachelors of Enviornmental Science and Policy from USF.  Mr. Higgins has been teaching since 2006 and joined the Osceola Middle School staff in 2013.  He is teaching 6th grade Social Studies.

Mr. Higgins won the KRAFT New Teacher award in 2006.

His class motto is Attitude is Everything!

Mr. Higgins retired from the US Army after 20 years of service in 2006.  He teaches because he enjoys helping young minds explore and grow, not only through curriculum but through experiences of people he has talked with and the places he has been.

Mr. Higgins is the sponsor of the All Pro Dad's program that meets once a month.
