    Good Morning Chiefs,

Please see attached newsletter containing the updates for the week of August 27, 2018. I’m asking that parents also abide by the traffic procedures as you pick your child up in the bus circle area.  Cars should not be parked in prohibited areas including loading/unloading students in the middle of the street.  It’s our intent to keep our campus safe and I ask that you model good judgment and patience.  We will also be offering before/after school care as of September 17th (please see additional information in newsletter).

     Chiefs Weekly Updates 8-27-18

Morning ELP – Ensure your student is at the car circle gate at 8AM. Teachers will not wait for students that are late as they must start their tutoring session.

After School ELP – Promptly pick-up your student at 5PM (5:10PM for STEM) at the car circle. It is essential that students be picked up on time in order to ensure students will be permitted to continue future ELP sessions.

    Good morning OMS Chiefs,

This school year Pinellas County Schools will be conducting active assailant drills. These trainings are required monthly by state law and are intended to build muscle memory and educate students in age-appropriate ways about what to do if there is an incident at schools or in any public setting. OMS will begin practicing monthly Active Assailant Drills this week.  Please take a moment to review the video in the link found in the attached newsletter to attain additional information on this measure to ensure the safety and security of our school.

Please see attached newsletter for additional important updates.  Weekly Update 8/20/18

Good afternoon Osceola Middle School Community,

Tomorrow is the first day of school for the 2018 - 2019 School Year! Please plan accordingly to ensure your child is prepared to embark on an amazing journey as we Pursue Academic Excellence!  Car riders should plan on longer than usual wait time and traffic for drop off and pick up in light of the additional traffic on the roads for the first week.  In light of the heightened need for campus safety/security; Parents will not be permitted to walk their child to class.  Please drop your child off at our main entrance and we'll be certain to return them to you safely.  Requests for change of classes will begin August 27th so please wait until that time to expect requests to be considered.  See attached newsletter for additional updates and important information.   Chiefs Updates Aug 13-17

Good afternoon Osceola Middle School Community,

This is your Principal, Dr. Lowery sending you the School Updates for the week of August 6, 2018.  Attached you will find a newsletter that entails important General Information to assist you in planning a successful return to school for our students.  Please take a moment to review to stay abreast of our daily/weekly activities.

Parents/Guardians please exercise patience and understanding when it comes to your child schedule.  Our School Counselors have been working diligently completing scheduling tasks in addition to Pre-School Professional Development.  It's our intent to have all students fully scheduled this week.  In that pursuit; we will prioritize scheduling requests accordingly.  Students will have an opportunity to complete and submit a Request for Scheduled Change with Parent signature after the first week of school.

Lastly, I want to encourage our 7th Grade Parents/Guardians to return documentation or exemption for the TDAP immunization.  Your child will not be permitted to attend class until this requirement has been satisfied.  Please note that the front Office will be extremely busy so it's to your benefit to complete all outstanding tasks prior to the first day of school.

Thanks again for your support of our Pursuit of Academic Excellence!
