    Good morning OMS Family,

    Attached, you will find the updates for the week of December 13, 2021.  Midterm Exams (see attached schedule) will be conducted this week and it’s imperative that your child arrives to school well rested and on time this week.  OMS provides breakfast and lunch free of charge to all students.  Thanks for your support of OMS Leadership Club Military Matters drive!  We will extend this initiative for two more days to support our troops abroad.  Please send non-perishable items in by Tuesday.

    Additional Important Information:

    • December 17th:  6th grade students ONLY will be allowed their second dress down day they earned, for winning the Spirit Stick. 
      • They must follow PCSB dress code: no crocs, slides, ripped jeans, etc. 
    • January 3rd:  Teacher Planning Day (No School for Students)
    • January 4th:  School Resumes (2nd Semester)
    • January 5th:  District Application Period Begins
    • January 17th: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

    Good morning OMS Community,

    Attached, you will find the updates for the week of December 6, 2021.  OMS Leadership Club is currently hosting a donation drive (December 1st – 10th) to send to our Troops stationed abroad.  Please join our efforts in supporting our men and women in uniform.  The attached flyers provide additional information on the exciting opportunity to give back to our troops.

    Additional Important Information:

    • Level Up Opportunities:
      • Middle School-  Nearpod for step-by-step informational essay
      • Students and parents will use Nearpod to work through the steps of the informative writing process. There will be step-by-step practice on writing skills such as, breaking down prompts, note taking, and student generated ideas. There is also an opportunity to take what you learn and write an entire informative essay from start to finish. This is a great way for parents to gain knowledge of the informative writing process as they work though this self-paced Nearpod with their student.
        • Target Group: Students and Parents Grades 6-8.
        • Date: Nov. 11-June 1.

    • Attendance:  Parents, please report all absences to OMS.  We are working to improve overall school attendance in need your support.
    • Food Drive needs non-perishable food items!
    • OSCEOLA MIDDLE SCHOOLS LEADERSHIP CLUB WILL BE COLLECTING ITEMS TO CREATE CARE PACKAGES TO SEND OVERSEAS! PLEASE HELP US TRY AND MAKE 100 CARE PACKAGES! (see attached flyers)

    • December 7th – Guitar 1 and 2 present “The Holiday Season on Strings” (OMS Gym at 7:00 pm.)
    • December 8th:  OMS Staff Meeting (Media Center at 8:50 a.m.)
    • December 9th – Band 3 and Orchestra present their Winter Concert (OMS Gym at 6:30 pm.)
    • December 10th:  Chorus’s Holiday Concert on December 10th (Osceola Fundamental High School Gym at 7:00 pm.)
