      • Middle School-  Nearpod for step-by-step informational essay
      • Students and parents will use Nearpod to work through the steps of the informative writing process. There will be step-by-step practice on writing skills such as, breaking down prompts, note taking, and student generated ideas. There is also an opportunity to take what you learn and write an entire informative essay from start to finish. This is a great way for parents to gain knowledge of the informative writing process as they work though this self-paced Nearpod with their student.
        • Target Group: Students and Parents Grades 6-8.

    Good morning OMS Community,

    Thanks to Ms. Sorensen and Ms. Turner for a festive Red Ribbon Spirit Week!!!  Attached, you will find the updates for the week of November 1, 2021.  Please be safe as you and our students participate in this weekend’s Halloween Festivities.  Also, I am asking that students refrain from brining large quantities of their Halloween Candy to school.  Parents/Guardians, I am calling on you to monitor this and continue to monitor your child’s academics and attendance by checking Portal/Focus regularly.  It is our goal to continue to partner with you to support their individual needs for success.

    Parents/Guardians, please take advantage of Level Up.   The free virtual enrichment program that helps you and your child get the most out of their PCS Connects digital learning devices. This week, some sessions help students on the Biology, Algebra 1, and Geometry quarterly assessments.  Students can also join a self-paced session on the pitfalls and common problems with academic online research.
