    Gulf Beach Masonic Lodge No. 291 is offering a $2,000.00 scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who attends any one of these High Schools: Boca Ciega; Dixie Hollins; Gibbs; Lakewood; Largo; Northeast; Osceola; Pinellas Park; Seminole; or St. Petersburg. They must demonstrate high academic achievement, as well as active volunteer service to the community. Students must plan to enroll in a regionally accredited Junior College, College or University leading to a four-year baccalaureate degree. There is no requirement for Masonic affiliation and the scholarship is awarded without regard to race, color, creed, gender or religious preference.

    Qualified students must access the application online at www.gulfbeachlodge.org under the “scholarship” tab. The completed form must then be saved and emailed as an attachment to gulfbeachlodgescholarship@gmail.com

    The deadline for receiving applications is April 1st 2017.  Our Scholarship Committee will review all submissions, verify data with appropriate guidance counselors, and if necessary, request an interview with candidate. Notification of a selection will be made to the applicants via email by April 15th.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    1. Must have completed a minimum of 25 community service/volunteer hours.

    2. A graduating high school senior, with an acceptance letter from an accredited college or university.

    3. GPA of at least 3.5 (4.0 scale)

    4. Must be a minority (African American) student nominated to receive the Inaugural Vyrle Davis Awards.

    1. Completed Essay (500 word minimum) – double space

    The Belleair Garden Club, a 501c nonprofit, sponsors a Scholarship Program and is pleased to announce financial assistance opportunities to students for the upcoming 2017-18 school year.  Eligible students include those pursuing a career in Horticulture, Biology/Botany, Environmental Studies or related fields.

     

    We are prepared to provide up to $1,000 per year to help cover the cost of books and fees (distributed $500 per semester).  This could be applied at any undergraduate institution offering classes leading to a career in any of the above stated areas of study.

     

    The applicant must be from Pinellas County and submit a completed application form by May 1.  Upon receipt of the application, an interview will be scheduled with the applicant.
