In honor of Black History Month, PSTA is hosting a contest for local artists and creators to design a bus wrap for Juneteenth, commemorating the holiday of the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. The winning artist will receive:
$1,000 cash prize
Their art is installed on an active PSTA bus, which will serve riders in Pinellas County. The completed bus wrap will debut no later than June 19, 2023 as part of PSTA’s celebration of Juneteenth. (bus wrap installation is valued at $7,000 - $8,000)
PSTA-produced video feature of the completed bus wrap, including a profile interview with the artist discussing their inspiration and body of work.

Their artwork was chosen for display in the Morean Arts Center’s Student Exhibition “What the World Needs Now.” The exhibition will be on display in the Morean’s Risser Gallery in St Pete from December 5, 2020 – January 10, 2021.
