    Documentation of 2nd Semester Community Service Hours Due: At the April 24, 2018 General meeting

    Eighth grade students eligible for membership in the CFMS chapter of the National Junior Honor Society received membership materials in the Spring of 7th grade. The (1) Student Activity Information Form, (2) Acknowledgement of Minimum Requirements for NJHS Membership, (3) Character Essay, and (4) documentation of 20 hours of community service with completed reflection are due in the front office by 3 pm on August 31, 2017. Late forms will not be accepted. Selected members will be subsequently notified on September 14, 2017. 
    Students selected for membership who are interested in running for an Officer position may pick up an application at the meeting for officer candidates on September 19, 2017 at 7:35 a.m. in the media center.  Officer applications and speeches are due to Ms. Caldwell by September 26.  Officers will be elected at the first general meeting on September 28.
    National Junior Honor Society is a national organization sponsored by the National Association of Secondary School Principals. Membership is an honor bestowed upon 8th grade students with outstanding scholarship, citizenship, character, leadership and service.
    Students who are eligible to be considered for NJHS received an application packet in the Spring of their 7th grade year. Completion of the required documentation is not a guarantee of acceptance in NJHS.
