    Minimum Requirements are due to the front office by 3:00 pm.  LATE FORMS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.


    Accepted Candidates Notified:  September 9-13, 2019   Selected members will be notified

    Officer Candidate Meeting:  September 16, 2019 at 7:35 a.m. in Mrs. Meade’s room (409) You must attend this meeting if you are interested in being an officer. 

    Officer applications due on September 20, 2019 - to the front office by 3:00pm.  LATE APPLICATIONS NOT ACCEPTED.

    Officer Elections:  September 24, 2019 at the General Meeting 

    Induction Ceremony:  October 16, 2019, 7:00p.m. Gym  Formal attire required 

    Canned Food Drive:  November 11-21, 2019 

    Documentation of 1st Semester Community Service Hours Due:  December 17, 2019 at the General Meeting 

    Valentine’s Dance:  February 12, 2019, 3-5 p.m. in the Gym and Cafeteria 

    Documentation of 2nd Semester Community Service Hours Due:  April 28, 2019 at the General Meeting 


    Eighth grade students eligible for membership in the CFMS chapter of the National Junior Honor Society received membership materials in the Spring of 7th Grade.  The (1) Student Activity Information Form, (2) Acknowledgement of Minimum Requirements for NJHS Membership, (3) Character Essay, and (4) Documentation of 20 hours of community service with completed Reflection are due in the front office by 3:00 p.m. on August 23, 2019.  Late forms will not be accepted.  Selected members will be subsequently notified between September 9-13, 2019. 

    Students selected for membership who are interested in running for an Officer position may pick up an application at the meeting for Officer Candidates on September 22, 2019 at 7:35 a.m. in Mrs. Meade’s room.  Officer applications and speeches are due to Mrs. Meade or Ms. Trottier by October 1st.  Officers will be elected at the first general meeting on September 24, 2019. 

    National Junior Honor Society is a national organization sponsored by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.  Membership is an honor bestowed upon 8th grade students with outstanding scholarship, citizenship, character, leadership and service. 

    Students who are eligible to be considered for NJHS received an application packet in the Spring of their 7th grade year.  Completion of the required documentation is not a guarantee of acceptance in NJHS.
