At Garrison-Jones, we believe that the purpose of education is to develop the whole child through a broad-based curriculum which fosters a positive self-concept, creativity, self-discipline values, and life skills.
Dual Immersion Program
Unique to Pinellas County Schools, Garrison-Jones has the only full Spanish Immersion program. This program is available for students in PreK-5th grade. The grade level content skills are taught through both languages. The goal is for the students to become bilingual while maintaining high academic achievement.
Garrison-Jones has a student population of 700 in grades PreK-5th grade. In addition to our General Education curriculum we also provide ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), and Gifted Program services. Our school is a Proud AVID School.
Garrison-Jones has many groups and clubs for students to join. They include Spanish Club, Book Club, Chorus, Computer Club, Strings, STEM, Student Council, Safety Patrol, Advanced Math, Multicultural Club, and STEP. In addition we celebrate students’ success monthly at our outdoor assembly, Round Up.
Excellent Educational Foundation
Under the leadership of our principal, Karen Buckles, and with the dedication of the entire faculty and staff, Garrison-Jones has provided many students with an excellent educational foundation which has enabled them to meet the challenges presented to them in middle school, high school, and beyond.
