Gibbs High School Advisory Council
Meets the second Monday of each month at 5:00 pm
The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a team that represents various segments of our community – parents, teachers, students, administrators, support staff, business/industry people and other interested community members. The purpose of the SAC is to assist in developing and evaluating the results of the School Improvement Plan and to assist the principal with the annual school budget. Additionally, the SAC receives funds a portion of the money "to be used at the discretion of the SAC for implementing the school improvement plan."
Each school in the State of Florida must have a SAC composed of the principal and an “appropriately balanced” number of “stakeholders.” These stakeholders must be representative of the ethnic, racial, and economic makeup of the community served by the school.
As we look forward to our 2017-18 school year, we invite you to be part of our School Advisory Committee. This school year will be a very exciting one, as we celebrate the 90th Anniversary of Gibbs High School. We hope you will join us as we plan for this year.
Below is a list of the upcoming meetings. They will be held the 2nd Monday of each month from 5:00pm-6:00pm, followed by our PTSA meeting. Please use the Contact button at the top of the Gibbs website home page if you have any questions, or would like to be a part of our SAC for the coming year.
Hope to see you there.
