Community Service Hours

  • Volunteerism is an important component of developing servant leaders.  Participation in community service hours aids the transition to an emergency service career. Therefore, Jonathan C. Gibbs EMT Preparatory Academy students must earn 200 volunteer hours by the completion of their senior year. A minimum of 100 hours must be related to emergency services. Students will participate in the Fire Explorer Program to continue developing their knowledge, skills and interest.  The remaining hours may be earned in any other area.
