The Southern Scholarship Foundation has helped students for more than 65 years achieve their dreams of attending their choice university through their partnership at Florida Gulf Coast, UF, Santa Fe College, FSU, Flagler – Tallahassee, FAMU, and Tallahassee Community College. They offer rent-free homes located near their partner institutions.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Demonstrate financial need determined by the EFC on the FAFSA.
- A minimum 3.0 unweighted state GPA
- Excellent character by proof of letter of recommendation
- University acceptance

The Walker’s Rising Stars Scholarship Competition is funded by the Pinellas Education Foundation and noted Bay Area neurosurgeon, Dr. Jeffrey Walker. Through this program, scholarships are awarded to the top arts students in Pinellas County Schools (as determined by the competition.) The Cooke College Scholarship Program is an undergraduate scholarship program available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend and graduate from the nation's best four-year colleges and universities. The Florida Easter Star Tuition Grant Program is available to Florida students who will be graduating from a high school, including home school, in a Florida school district in 2024 and who will be attending an accredited university, college, junior college, community college or vocational institution in Florida. This is a one-time grant. $30,000 wil be split among the awardees.

Each year, the U.S. Junior Chamber International (JCI) Senate Foundation grants $1,500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools. The number of grants awarded annually is at the discretion of the Foundation and must be used for educational expenses in the first year of full-time study. Checks awarded will be made out in the name of the recipient and the educational institution of the recipient’s choice. Be sure to follow the application instructions completely.
