The St. Petersburg Metropolitan Section, National Council of Negro Women, INC. is proud to announce that the organization will award the NCNW Educational Incentive and Ralph W. Young Family Foundation scholarships for the upcoming 2023 – 2024 academic school year. The application deadline is Wednesday, November 30, 2022. We will recognize recipients at the 37th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Leadership Awards Breakfast, held at the St. Petersburg Coliseum on January 16, 2023.

Students of the University of South Florida who are inducted into the Kosove Society receive a scholarship, total to the amount of the estimated cost of attendance. Students are also encouraged and provided funds to participate in academic conferences and fieldwork experiences, as well as study abroad opportunities in order to enhance their educational opportunities and expand their horizons.

The Eckerd Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (E-STEM) Scholarship Program, funded in part by the generosity of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, is to support Black, Latinx, and Indigenous students in their pursuit of a bachelor's degree within the STEM field at Eckerd College.
The Mensa Foundation Scholarship Program awards more than $175,000 in assistance every year to college-bound students around the globe. Scholarships are awarded based solely on 550-word essays expressing applicants’ academic and professional goals and how their personal experiences will help them to accomplish those goals.
It is impossible to estimate the contribution a great teacher makes to our nation, to society, and to the students taught during a lifetime of devoted service to the teaching profession. Unfortunately, there exists, and always has existed, a severe shortage of great teachers. The Florida Retired Educators Foundation (FREF) has established a fund to assist the many young people who are interested in teaching, but unable to fulfill this goal without financial assistance.
Each year, the Foundation awards more than $700,000 in scholarships ranging from $500 to $5,000 to high school graduating seniors in the Pinellas County Public School system. Students only need to fill out one application to match their needs and future interests with over 100 scholarship opportunities.

The sooner you start and the more steps you complete, the more chances you’ll have to win. Every month, BigFuture selects two $40,000 winners and hundreds of $500 winners who complete one or more steps.
Criteria for the scholarship include demonstrating above average achievement and motivation toward advancing his/her education, GPA of 2.5 or above, service to school and community, leadership and good character, and an immediate family relationship (parent, sibling, grandparent, or lega guardian) with a PCTA, PESPA or PEER member.
Diversity Scholars Program: The purpose of this program is to increase underrepresented populations participation in the transportation profession by supporting increased diversity at the undergraduate level. Diversity in transportation is critical as practitioners seek to fully understand the transportation needs of communities in the development of equitable mobility improvements to many areas of our society.
The AMVETS Service Foundation Scholarship has been established to recognize students who can provide evidence of volunteer service to their community. Scholarships will be judged at the AMVETS Spring Budget Meeting. A possible total of four (4) scholarships may be awarded at the Florida State Convention.
