A welcome message from your PTA President…
Greetings Bay Vista Community,
The Bay Vista PTA welcomes you to the new school year! The PTA, along with all of our parents, teachers, and staff, is an integral part of the Bay Vista family. Not only do we host fun events during the school year, such as the annual Treat Trail, Movie Night and Spirit Nights, but we also provide funds and volunteers for our teachers and staff.
We are very excited to share news about our two major fundraisers planned for this school year. Bay Vista’s inaugural Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, November 16th and our 4th annual Fun Run will be held in early spring. In past years, our successful fundraising efforts (and optional parent “buy-out”) were used to purchase much needed resources for Bay Vista such as desk top and lap top computers, iPads, document cameras, overhead projectors, student agendas, kindergarten folders and Sunshine State books.
All of these achievements take the hard work and dedication of our community members. For the PTA to be effective and truly representative of the school, everyone’s participation is essential. We all want the very best education and experience for our children so please consider volunteering – it really does make a difference! For information about volunteering, follow our Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/BayVistaFundamentalPTA/. Thank you in advance for your support!
Have a wonderful school year and I look forward to seeing you at our next PTA General Meeting on September 16th at Lakewood High School.

What is the Bay Vista PTA?
The Bay Vista PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) is a non-profit volunteer organization which serves to support the students, teachers and staff at Bay Vista Fundamental Elementary School.
Join the PTA! Becoming a member is easy and a family membership costs only $7. Your membership does not obligate you to volunteer. Membership envelopes can be obtained at the front office or by contacting Dawn McCoy (email@example.com).
PTA board meetings are held every 2nd Monday of the month in the school’s media center. All PTA members are welcome! We encourage you to join us and participate at these meetings. They are a great way to get to know fellow Bay Vista parents, learn about all the good work being done around the school and opportunities for families to support that work.
Who are we? Meet your 2019-20 PTA Board members…
This is our seventh year at Bay Vista and I am excited to represent the school as its PTA President. Being involved in the PTA has given me a greater appreciation of Bay Vista’s teachers and staff and their extraordinary commitment to our children. If you have any questions, concerns and/or ideas, I can be reached at (727) 492-5887 or firstname.lastname@example.org.

This year makes 7 years at Bay Vista for our family. This will be my third year on the PTA Board as the Vice President of Membership. Being a PTA member has led me to meeting many amazing parents and teachers at Bay Vista. I look forward to working with all of you as we continue to make Bay Vista the best school for our kids! If you have any questions or want to know how you can help the PTA, feel free to stop me in the halls or email me (Dpavluk1@gmail.com).
Have a great day!
Cheryl Dion/Vice-President, Fundraising and School Programs
We’ve been a Bay Vista family for eight years. My daughter Aubrey is in 5th grade and my son Brady is now an 8th grader at Thurgood Marshall. The PTA has been a great way for me to be more involved with the school, meet new families and help raise much needed funds that help our teachers and children. My email is email@example.com. Thanks!
We are excited to start another year at Bay Vista. Ben will be in Mrs. Cianca’s 2nd Grade class and Charlotte starts Kindergarten with Mrs. Rothenberger. I have met so many great families and learned so much about the school through PTA. I look forward to what this year will bring. Please feel free to email me with any questions or issues at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The 2019-20 school year marks our second as a Bay Vista family with our daughter, Amelia, moving to Mrs. Joseph’s 1st Grade class. After participating in PTA board meetings last year and learning about the great work of the PTA and how it benefits our Bay Vista community, I’m excited to join the board this year. Being involved with PTA is a great way to meet families and support the school in making it the best it can be! Please reach out to me anytime at email@example.com.
