I am Anne Caparaso and I am honored to be the principal of our "A" school, Skycrest Elementary, for the 2024-2025 school year.  I have been in education for over 16 years and am excited to serve the Skycrest community.  I began my career teaching 2nd grade at Lithia Springs Elementary in Hillsborough County. In 2011, I was privileged to move into a district position as a peer evaluator and then an instructional mentor.   I served in many district elementary schools by offering teachers and administrators valuable feedback and professional development on instructional best practices.  In 2017, my family moved to Pinellas County to enjoy the beautiful Florida beaches and waterways.  I was named an assistant principal at Largo Middle IB World School, where I have proudly served for the 4 ½ years.

I look forward to sharing my passion for education and my drive to help every student at Skycrest Elementary reach his/her greatest potential.

    Sincerely,

    Anne Caparaso

    Dear Skycrest Family,

As we embark the second half of the school year, I am thrilled to greet you as the new Assistant Principal at Skycrest Elementary. While I began my educational journey in Hawaii, my roots in Pinellas County run deep, having completed my elementary, middle, and high school education here. I proudly earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the University of Florida (Go Gators!).  My teaching career has taken me across the globe, from Italy to New Zealand, and for the past twelve years, I have had the privilege of contributing to Florida's educational landscape. Each stop along the way has enriched my understanding of effective educational and leadership practices.  At Skycrest, my goal is to instill a lifelong love of learning in our students and provide them with a high-quality education that prepares them for success in college, career, and life.

Here’s to a fantastic school year ahead filled with learning, growth, and success for all!
