Girl Scouts provides countless opportunities to unleash the power of G.I.R.L. (Go-Getters, Innovators, Risk Takers and Leaders) in EVERY girl through a high-quality, girl-center, and girl-led experience that includes mentoring, high adventure/outdoor exploration, and educational activities. Girl Scouts come weekly to Skycrest to pick up students and take them to the Girl Scout campus in Clearwater.
In an effort to provide virtual opportunities and support for all parents and girls, we recently launched Girl Scouts at Home—a collection of fun activities and resources in areas like STEM, entrepreneurship, life skills, and the outdoors. This free programming can be found at gswcf.org/AtHome, no membership necessary!
Created by the Glazer Family Foundation in 2009, the Tampa Bay Bucs Vision Mobile is an interactive, traveling children’s eye clinic which has distributed more than 8,000 pairs of free glasses to kids in 60 Title One schools in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties, which includes 24 Buccaneer Academies. The vision van visits Skycrest once a year to provide glasses to students after having an on-sight eye exam earlier in the year.
