Richard O. Jacobson Technical High School always welcomes volunteers.
All volunteers for our school must be registered with the Pinellas County Schools Volunteer System.
A Level 1 volunteer will be processed by the District Office at no cost to you. When the registration has been Level 1 background checked and approved, you will receive an email with your user ID and password to the volunteer system. Register at www.pcsb.org/volunteerregistration. Here you will first upload your registration and then upload your driver’s license or state identification directly to the district.
A Level 2 screening is required If volunteers are unsupervised with students. (This includes driving a field trip, mentoring around the school, etc.) Volunteers must be approved in the volunteer system before obtaining a Level 2 fingerprint screening. Visit www.pcsb.org/Page/12334 for the list of fingerprinting vendors and all Level 2 instructions. There is a fee to become a Level 2 volunteer.
Each year following Summer Break all PCS Volunteer profiles are placed as Inactive. All returning volunteers must re-activate in the volunteer system prior to volunteering. Go to https://focus.pcsb.org/volunteer. Please answer the questions, click agree, and save your answers. Here you can also update your personal information in the lower right corner of the screen.
If you registered in the volunteer system at another school in our county, you can be added to our school. You do not need to register again, just be sure your status is active and email Kristin Brantley to add you to Tech High.
