- Students with disabilities are required to meet the school admission criteria in order to be accepted into the Pinellas Virtual School Full Time, just as their non-disabled peers.
- Current Individual Educational Plans (IEP) of student applicants who meet the school's entrance criteria will be reviewed on an individual basis in order to determine the appropriateness of the full-time virtual education option.
- Pinellas Virtual School Full Time is a school of choice and should be considered only if the full-time online educational environment is the most appropriate choice based on the unique needs of the student and the services available.
- In accordance with Florida Statute, if an exceptional education student who has an IEP applies to enroll in a full-time virtual program, the virtual program will determine if the student meets the profile for success in this educational delivery context.
- If an IEP or 504 Plan indicates that full-time virtual instructions is appropriate, would be the student's Least Restrictive Environment (LRE), and the student meets all other school enrollment criteria, then the student may be enrolled.
- Pinellas Virtual School does not provide any Access Points of the Florida State Standards which provide modified curriculum and assessment options for students with intellectual disabilities or significant cognitive disabilities.
