Modified Uniform Student Dress Code
This modified student uniform dress code will be enforced along with school board policy in regards to student dress. All students must be in compliance on the first day of school.
All shirts (dress shirts, polo’s, and blouses), short and long sleeved must have a collar and be plain solid in color, red, gray, black or white. Any shirt without a collar must be a Clearwater High School approved t-shirt.
All sweaters/sweatshirts, short or long sleeved must be plain, solid in color, red, gray, black or white. Students who wear a sweater/sweatshirt that opens in the front must have an appropriate top on underneath.
All pants/jeans must be plain, solid in color, khaki, black, gray or regular blue denim jeans.
All shorts must be knee length (meet the top of the knees) and be plain, solid in color, khaki, black or gray. Jean shorts are not acceptable (capris are defined as running past the knee in length).
All skirts must be knee length (meet the top of the knees) and be plain, solid in color, khaki, black, gray or regular blue denim.
All bottoms should be worn appropriately at the waist according to state statute. Pant, jeans, and shorts should be worn with a belt. All bottoms must be neat in appearance, free from holes and frays.
You may not wear bright colored blue jeans (sky, baby, or ocean blue). You may not wear tights, sweats, knitted, nylon or athletic style pants/shorts.
All dresses must meet the top of the knees in length and be plain, solid in color red, gray, black or white.
You may not wear sheer, mesh, oversized or undersized dresses, and any style that is low cut. Shoulders, stomachs, and backs must be covered.
Vests should be plain solid in color red, gray, black, white or regular blue denim.
All hoodies must be Clearwater High hoodies and red, gray, black or white in color.
Jackets/coats may be of any color and style. Any shirt worn underneath a jacket/coat must follow the guidelines for tops.
Ties, bows, belts, scarves or jewelry may be of any color or design as long as it is not disruptive to the learning environment.
You may not wear hats, caps, bandanas, or any non-approved head covering.
You may not wear bedroom or house slippers; all other shoes, sandals, and boots are acceptable in any color or style.
JROTC, athletics, and other student activities may wear their approved team/group uniform (pre-approved by administration) on designated days. On designated days whole team/group participation is expected.
*All forms of dress and/or accessories must be in compliance with the Pinellas County dress code as described in the Code of Student Conduct.
**Administration has the final say regarding dress code.
