“Violin is my life"- that's what I said in an interview on the BayNews9 interview.

I was in the seventh grade 50/50 Seminole Middle School and FLVS. It was a difficult time for me, I had to attend some classes at school, and after school to do my homework, but I wanted to play the violin most of all. To achieve good technique and high results, you need to train at least 4-5 hours a day. It is difficult to do this when attending a regular school, so in the eighth grade I completely switched to online learning in PVS. My life has become brighter and filled with interesting and fun events! I got the opportunity to practice playing the violin more. Throughout the year, I was able to participate in three orchestras in the Sarasota Youth Orchestra, Pinellas Youth Symphony and Seminole High School Orchestra. I was the only eighth-grader in the High School Orchestra, participated in the All-State Honors FMEA and All-County Orchestra, I held a high position as a Concert Master in the Pinellas Youth Philharmonic Orchestra for a year.

In addition, I am professionally engaged in vocals; I was a soloist in two productions of the St.Petersburg Opera and participated in one production of the Sarasota Youth Opera.

I also do ballroom dancing and participate in sports competitions that take place in different cities in Florida: Orlando, St. Petersburg, Miami, and Naples. I really like to travel.

This year, I had an incredible success at "The Serenade Strings Orchestra Concerto Concert." I played the solo "Concerto in A minor" A. Vivaldi.

Thanks to the convenient schedule in PVS, I can do what I love and build my career now. I can say with confidence that the violin is my life!

  • Grace HaferPinellas Virtual School and their flexibility has allowed me to pursue a career in the arts while still being able to maintain my schoolwork. Because of the ability to work at my own pace, I have been able to continue singing and have even balanced being in two Opera Tampa productions during the school year. I was able to work ahead in most classes and finish them early so I could have more free time to do what I want. When my family went on a trip to Alaska at the end of summer, I was able to do work up there and get a head start on my classes. This program has helped me do what I love, and I am very thankful for that.
