Students are interviewed by NBC education correspondent Rehema Ellis. Have you ever wondered what a middle school student thinks about this year's election?  Students from Pinellas Park Middle School shared their opinions on the 2016 presidential race with Rehema Ellis, an education reporter with NBC Nightly News. The seventh grade students were interviewed during their civics class, along with their teacher David Hamilton. Pinellas Park Middle principal Dave Rosenberger was also featured in the report.

The story ran Wednesday, Oct. 19 during the NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt national broadcast ahead of the third and final presidential debate. Students who participated enjoyed the experience of sharing what they have learned about the electoral process, as well as their opinions and advice for Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Pinellas Park Middle School Principal Dave Rosenberger says that while this has been a contentious election season, it has provided unique learning opportunities for students.
